about

On their third double-single Nerve/Cell (GiveUsYourGOLD, Feb. 20th 2015), Psycho & Plastic venture far out. This time, the duo relocates their psychedelic electronic trip from the silicon jungle of the previous outing Gold/Rush (GOLD003) to Inner Space, into our minds.
“Nerve” lures us in, teases us, then impulsively drums right through the blood-brain barrier to overexcite our nerve tracts with a neuronal freworks display and dissociative phantasmagorias. A wave of elastic beats and psychedelic archetypes surges over us – echo- and backwards-sounds, electric sitar, xylophone – and breaks onto the fnal synth-crescendo.
Synapses interlaced, we are curled up in fetal position when “Cell” envelopes us osmotically, harmonically, dubby, pulsating. Derangement gives way to delight. Dilated pupils marvel at the interplay between percussive tension and relaxation, undulating through our body in syncopation. The doors of perception are wide open.
