about

Psychedelic-electronic dance band Psycho & Plastic bring their series of double-A-sided singles started in 2014 full cycle with Day/Glow (GiveUsYourGOLD, June 26th 2015). While the Berlin- based duo's previous releases navigated through hallucinogenic nights, we now find ourselves on a new course.
“Day” greets us polyrhythmically at the edge of dawn, its undertow of synth and pedal bass pulling us outside. The straight kick drum still reminds us of the adventures we braved last night, when all of a sudden the first rays of sunlight caress us melodically and chase away all signs of exhaustion. Full of expectation, we follow the skipping cross-rhythms of an african guitar into the day.
“Glow” warms us up with glistening light refections, leads us on a six lane audio-Autobahn and right into our waiting space craft. A friendly robot with a poppy song on his vocoder-lips is manning the pilot's seat. He ignites the engines and we're already thundering off towards our desired futures, propelled by sheer analog thrust. Covertly, we wave good-bye through the windows.
